It can be helpful when
immersed in some emotional situation to try to step outside the
events and become a spectator, a witness to all that is happening.
Sometimes you will be able to see things in this way that are not
available when within the turmoil of emotional trauma. It is not a simple and easy way, as these intense emotional storms tend to create a fire of their own and suck you up, taking you along with it. Being aware of this, and the option of becoming a witness will create some protection for you. Peace
